How harmful can mobile phone use be for children?

UNDERSTANDING THE RISKS AND MITIGATING THE DANGERS

Mobile phones have become an essential part of our lives, and their use is rapidly increasing across all age groups, including children. While mobile phones offer numerous benefits, such as communication, access to information, and entertainment, they also pose certain risks to children's health and well-being.

In this article, we will explore the potential harm that mobile phone use can cause to children and suggest ways to mitigate these dangers.

Radiation Exposure

Mobile phones emit electromagnetic radiation, which can be harmful in large doses. Children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of radiation because their skulls are thinner, and their brain tissues are still developing. The World Health Organization has classified mobile phone radiation as a possible carcinogen, and studies have linked excessive mobile phone use to an increased risk of brain tumors and other health issues.

To reduce the risk of radiation exposure, parents can encourage their children to use mobile phones only when necessary and to keep them away from their bodies when not in use. Additionally, using headphones or speakerphone instead of holding the phone to the ear can reduce radiation exposure.

Sleep Disturbance

The blue light emitted by mobile phones can interfere with the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. This can lead to sleep disturbance, which can affect children's physical and mental health, including their ability to concentrate, learn, and function during the day.

To prevent sleep disturbance, parents can limit their children's mobile phone use before bedtime and encourage them to engage in relaxing activities, such as reading or listening to music, instead.

Cyberbullying and Online Predators

Mobile phones provide children with access to the internet and social media, which can expose them to cyberbullying and online predators. Children may also be exposed to inappropriate content, which can affect their mental health and well-being.

To prevent cyberbullying and online predators, parents can monitor their children's mobile phone use and set parental controls to restrict access to inappropriate content. They can also educate their children about online safety and encourage them to report any incidents of cyberbullying or inappropriate content.

Addiction

Mobile phone use can be addictive, especially for children who are still developing self-control and decision-making skills. Excessive mobile phone use can lead to social isolation, poor academic performance, and other negative consequences.

To prevent mobile phone addiction, parents can set limits on their children's mobile phone use and encourage them to engage in other activities, such as sports, hobbies, and socializing with friends and family.

Conclusion

Mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives, but their use can pose certain risks to children's health and well-being. To mitigate these dangers, parents can take measures to reduce their children's exposure to radiation, limit their mobile phone use before bedtime, monitor their online activity, and encourage them to engage in other activities.

By promoting responsible mobile phone use, parents can help their children reap the benefits of technology while minimizing the risks.

OUR SOCIETY AND POLLUTION

Our Society and Pollution

Hello Everyone,
Today, the biggest problem in the world is pollution, and there is no one else who gives birth to this problem but we are ourselves. We and our society are playing the most important role in polluting pollution. Today we have become so selfish that we are playing with the environment for our entertainment, development and facilities. Due to this pollution, the balance of our nature is deteriorating, due to which neither the time is changing nor is the crop getting ready at the time of harvest. We are cutting trees for our development, which is increasing pollution, not only that, by cutting trees, we are also planting huge factories which are polluting the air as well as the water. The smoke emanating from the factories is contaminating the air, and the contaminated chemicals, canals and rivers emanating from them are losing their purity, water life such as fish, turtles, snakes and other organisms are losing their existence from the contaminated water.
Air pollution is affecting humans as well as birds. Where birds do not appear on the roof of houses today, our children and the elderly are struggling with problems like respiratory disease. Pollution has affected our environment so much that the ozone layer protecting our atmosphere is also getting disintegrated which is extremely harmful for us and our environment.
On the other hand we are engaged in competing with each other and that is the competition to buy vehicles. Today, every single family has many vehicles or there are more than the number of members in many families, which not only makes the streets crowded but the smoke emanating from the vehicles gives so much carbon emission which makes the winds very high polluted.
Don't know what has happened to our mindset that we do not see anything other than our selfishness, if this continues then we will neither leave air nor water for our future generation.
In the end, we want our society to become environmentally conscious and at the same time we should pay attention to conservation of trees. We should also make our children aware of the problems of the environment so that they too can play their role through small efforts. The owners of the factories should properly dispose of the contaminated material from their factories. Plant more and more plants and take care of them till they grow.
NEEV Foundation celebrated its first Environment Day on 5 June 2019 on the international theme "Beat Air Pollution", where we have pledged to plant 20000 saplings by June 2020. In which about 5000 saplings have been planted.

NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF YOGA IN TODAY’S LIFE

“YOGA”– An ancient and oldest form of exercise which evolved thousands of years back in the Indian Culture, and is being practiced since then continuously. Yoga contains different exercises and activities to keep a person fit and to get rid of various diseases & inabilities. Yoga also considered as a strongest method for meditation which helps in relaxation of mind and body.

Yoga is a practice that works on eight levels of development in the areas of mental, physical, spiritual and social health. It helps to physical health is intact and make mind is clear and concentrated.
The yoga science of India is celebrated as International Yoga Day in all over the world. India has given many such methods to the world which are valuable in themselves. It has become very difficult to live a healthy and disease-free life in this mundane life of today. Due to unnatural eating, spoiled daily routine, are making us all face healthy problems.
But if we want, we can keep ourselves healthy and well by doing yoga regularly for some minute. Looking at today's time, when we do not have time for ourselves, yoga has become very important in life.
Different yoga activities are beneficial for different lifestyles, there are many types of yoga. Some of which are:

V.            Jivamukti Yoga
VI.         Power Yoga

NEEV COUNSELLING CENTER FOR MEN & YOUNG BOYS

NEEV counselling center for men & young boys

Hello Friends,

Today’s post is very important for the young boys and man.
It’s true that, in our country, women are given the highest honor and it is the duty of every man to always keep this tradition alive. Whether we talk about the rights of women, respect for them, their defense, their self-reliance, women's empowerment or their overall development, We men are always with women in every way so that, they can walk shoulder to shoulder with men in every field. NEEV Foundation is always ready to help women in every way to protect their rights.
As we know, in the last decades, the condition of women was not good, they had to suffer a lot of hardship and humiliation. When there was neither social media nor strict laws but today there are millions of government & non - government organizations in the world, which are fighting for the women's rights.
While writing this post, I am wondering whether men and women have equal rights in our society. If yes, why does no one cooperate with men for tyranny and oppression?
Maybe there are some organization which working for men but very few in count, and not reachable to every men. Man plays various roles in the society in which he lives a stressful life in his workplace, due to which he is also living with stress in his family. As a result, the man has to listen in the family as well, due to which the relationships are starting to crack. But there is a man who can neither share his sorrow and pain with anyone and cannot cry in front of anyone. This is the aspect of a coin that is always below, which can neither turn itself nor anyone wants to reverse it. Man is afraid that his words will be made fun of, what anyone will think, for fear that he will not be able to say anything to anyone. But we are there to listen.
One more reason to write this post on our organization’s blog, that we have seen much case where in the family the man was innocent and facing several problems but no one was there to support him or help him. Our organization has also resolved some issues regarding to men harassment.
So in the end I request all of you that this posts reach more and more people so that any person who is going through any kind of stress or harassment at workplace or in family can contact us in any of the ways given below, we will try our best to provide legal and psychological counseling through proper channels. Identities of victims will never be disclosed to anyone.
